Brand Inspired Illustrations
Brand #1 Kate Spade
With this brand, I wanted to evoke the feeling of femininity with a romantic and royal visual alnguage. Both artworks would still mantain a sense of playfulness that is associated with the brand.
This piece uses contrast and colour juxtaposition to its advantage, giving an eerie auro to the illustration. The visual impact is emphasised by the mysterious yet intriguing theme of the artwork, which shows the brand product in a surrealist environment.
Brand #2 Miss Sixty
With this brand, I focused on modern cartoonish elements to bring a youthful feeling to the illustrations. The style is bold and bubbly playing with either realistic or graphic textures.
The artwork plays with the meaning of the illustration and the product. By being presented in an unconventional visual setting, the meaning of the product is retold. It becomes a symbol for youth culture, marked by ecclectic and electric taste in fashion.
This is the most cartoonish visual created in the series, being categorised as a poster rather than an illustration. The style is a marriage of classic cartoon style with a modern intercalation of fonts. This stylistic choice plays into the brand’s playful and bold image.
